In 2001, Ken Cegelski and Lawrence Brewer founded a photography
studio that specialized in capturing all of the emotions and
excitement of Boston area weddings.
Within their first year they exceeded their growth expectations and were
pleasantly surprised by the great response to their services. Their reputation
for quality and affordable photography quickly became unmatched and
they expanded their photography services to include corporate and special
events, portraits (including seniors and family), dance and
gymnastics schools, and summer camps.
By January of 2005, their small studio, formerly known as Best Value
Photography, had grown into a thriving business with a need for a new, contemporary identity. Thus, 71 West
Photography Studio was born. The clientele
continued to blossom with the business' rapidly growing reputation.
While specializing in weddings, 71 West now offers a wide range of
digital photographic services including photo retouching, special
effects and restoration.
Currently, in 2007, the studio has been passed on to
long term photographer for the studio and sister of Lawrence Brewer,
Rachael Austin. She and her husband Michael Austin will continue the
business with a special combination of their artistic talents and
thirst for embracing the digital age. Both Rachael and Michael bring
to the table extensive backgrounds in art and photography and the
same warm, family welcome to all new and repeat clients.
